Business Integrations was founded by Lucy Hyde-Thomson and became a Limited Company in 2008, although it had traded under that name since 2005. After several years experience with a blue chip company as a technical architect and prior to that as a database and web application designer with a high technology speech recognition company, Lucy Hyde-Thomson decided to go freelance.
Becoming freelance enabled the experience learned in an enterprise environment to be applied to SMEs whilst being more sensitive to the needs to the client. Being a small business enables a faster reaction to changing client needs and to be far more flexible than the large consultancies without losing any of the professionalism or skills.
In 2010 Andy Mason joined the company bringing with him a wealth of experience both in technical architecture but also from a software point of view. He is an expert on performance tuning PeopleSoft and Oracle, troubleshooting problems across the application tiers and highlighting problems with PeopleCode and SQL. Andy also brings depth in his knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and .Net technologies to the business.
The focus of Business Integrations is the client and their goals. Business Integrations will help the client achieve their goals but is also not afraid to challenge the client on those goals. Often taking a step back to review the wider picture will reveal areas where real efficiencies and savings can be made over and above those already identified by the client.
